We know how this works, and we can show you how to do it.
Not only have we both worked as media gatekeepers and as media contributors, we know the challenges experts face, and how they’re missing out on major media opportunities for reasons no one is telling them.
Until now.
We know what it takes to be a go-to guest—something not all experts or even all PR pros grasp, and no one in the media has time to teach you.
And we’re going to show you exactly how to do it.

How do I know this program is right for me?
You love what you do—but you know you’re meant to do something bigger, and want to share your insight and expertise with a bigger audience. While it’s not necessary that you have media experience, you’re excited at the idea of doing it! You’re willing and able to try a fresh approach to sharing what you do—and collaborate with media professionals to serve their readers and viewership. You also consider yourself “coachable”—meaning, you’re able to learn and apply new insights, even if they may lie just outside your comfort zone.
The people who end up being the most successful in media don’t possess any secret knowledge—they simply have a real desire to share what they do, and want to learn the best way to do it. We’ll tell you everything you need to know!
I haven’t written a book. Does that matter?
Nope! While having a book is a great platform, you don’t have to have a book to GET booked. You have to have a platform—meaning, something to stand on, an opinion, a mission, something to share or teach, but it doesn’t have to be blessed by Simon & Schuster.
What if I don’t have any previous media experience?
That’s ok! We work with people new to the media all the time. In fact, this is a great way to get started. Don’t worry about a sizzle reel yet. We can show you the basics for getting booked no matter what your background is! And while producers do want to see how you are on camera, you happen to be living in the age of DIY video! There’s plenty of affordable—scratch that—free ways to broadcast yourself right now! With just your smartphone or laptop, you can create content that gets media attention.
I have done some media before. Will I get anything out of this course?
Absolutely. Having some on-camera experience or being quoted in a magazine is great—but there’s so much else to learn about being in the media that is rarely taught. If media has found you, that’s terrific! The key is being able to get the attention when YOU want it, not just when they do. We know plenty of seasoned contributors who’ve never pitched themselves and have no idea how to do it, for instance. Or have only worked with PR pros and haven’t initiated those media contacts themselves. Trust us—we’ve even had PR pros tell us we changed how they approach the media.
I don’t know anyone in the media. Is that a problem?
Not at all! We don’t expect you to have friends in the business. We’re teaching you how to approach the media cold by relying on proven techniques that help you get the attention of producers and editors with your pitches, positioning, and ideas. Once you can do that, you will know people in the media, because they’ll look forward to hearing from you!
What if I plan to hire a PR person?
The strategic use of a PR professional makes sense, especially with a book release—but it’s not in everyone’s budget to keep one simply on retainer ongoing. There are tons of experts who get booked daily, and regularly, without the help of a hired gun. When you learn the basics and sharpen your skills, you really can gain the media’s attention. As we say, we are not a replacement for PR! But what we can promise is that you’ll get more out of your PR efforts when you know what they know.
